Attorney Steven Bader Wins Jury Trial in Property Damage Case

Attorney Steven Bader obtained a defense verdict in a jury trial in Benton County. The plaintiff alleged our clients permitted their cattle to roam at large onto a state highway. The plaintiff's driver struck one of the cows on the state highway and allegedly suffered damage to its semi-truck and trailer. The evidence showed the plaintiff's driver had received a warning of possible cattle on the highway approximately thirty seconds before the collision. The jury found our clients did not permit the cattle to roam at large, and as a result, that our clients were not liable for the accident. The jury also found the plaintiff's driver was negligent in his operation of the semi-truck, and it found the plaintiff did not prove it suffered any property damage.
