March 2010 - CHIPRA Model Notices Now Available for Employers
On February 2, 2010, the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) developed and released national and state-specific model notices to be used by employers regarding eligibility for premiums assistance under the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA). This makes it an ideal time for employers to again review the notice requirements under CHIPRA.

March, 2010 - Increased Penalties for Child Labor Violations
Federal child labor rules are established by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This Act establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and child labor rules affecting full- and part-time workers in the private sector and in the federal, state and local governments.
